Batman (formerly known as The Bat-man) is an American hero created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger (although only recognizes the first authorship) owned by DC Comics. His first appearance was in the story entitled The case of chemical union Detective Comics Magazine # 27, released by the National Publications editorial in May 1939.
Since then, the secret identity of Batman has always been Bruce Wayne (formerly renowned as Bruce Wayne is a billionaire businessman and philanthropist. After witnessing as a child of his parents' death, vows revenge and, after undergoing a rigorous physical and mental training, is dedicated to fight crime in Gotham City. In all his appearances as Batman, Wayne masquerades as a bat.
Unlike other superheroes, has no superpowers but uses the intellect with science and technology applications to create weapons and tools with which to catch criminals. Wayne resides in the mansion (in which is located underground or Batcave Batcave), and is regularly attended by partners and employees, among them Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, the officer James Gordon and the butler Alfred Pennyworth. In early 2009, after the apparent death of Wayne, was replaced by Dick Grayson (the first Robin), who has held since then as the new "guardian of Gotham City" 5 6Become one of the emblematic characters of DC Comics, Batman got his own magazine in 1940. In mid 1960, he launched an eponymous TV series, where he was presented with a new look "camp" would end up away from his original dark tone.
